Pontus Vippelius

Head of SEO, AdRelevance

It’s been an amazing professional year together with customers, colleagues, partners, and my network. With highlights like my first global talk at brightonSEO, joining the Holistic SEO Mastermind in Kuşadası with some of the world’s best SEOs hosted by Koray Tuğberk Gübür and launching the Relevance video podcast with AdRelevance (me and Petter Norlén on the mics).

It was honored to be nominated for “Knowledge Sharer of the Year” for the work I do to spread knowledge in SEO and AI visibility.

I’ve learned that doing back-to-back presentations on the same day is really challenging when it comes to keeping your energy levels up all the way through.

People like Koray Tuğberk GÜBÜR, Brodie Clark, Pavel Klimakov, and everyone I’ve invited to this series inspire me and many others in the industry by using a research-focused approach.

During events & meetups, when you’re surrounded by amazing people, the laughs come naturally.

Google integrating more features in AI mode and from AI mode in regular search. I think we will see some interesting tests regarding Google Web Guide-SERPs (Google’s AI-organized search results).

Google and ChatGPT focusing more on Shopping graph / product data driven experiences like free listings / popular products that also supports agentic commerce and instant checkout on the platforms.

Research and testing. It moves very fast within the AI / LLM features in search now and if you really want to understand what is happening you need to do your research and test.

I think too many people both within the SEO industry and broader don’t understand the fundamentals in how search works and need to get a more research-based understanding.

Take a proper walk outside without your phone for 20–30 minutes, ideally in daylight. It sounds simple, but it clears your head, lowers stress, and gives you a real mental reset that makes everything feel easier afterwards.
